Olive Oyl’s Carry Out Cuisine was established in 1991 and is located in the heart of Essex village, voted “BEST SMALL TOWN IN AMERICA” a quintessential town on the Connecticut shoreline.

Just steps away from the picturesque Connecticut river and the entrance to Long Island sound, Chef/Owners Kevin and Jennifer Kendall have shared their passion for great tasting seasonal ingredients for over 30 years.

You will find Jennifer preparing her signature baked goods and brewing fresh Illy’s Coffee for the early morning crowds. Some of her specielties include, Nantucket blueberry and buttermilk bran muffins, cobblestone cookies, rocky road brownies, scones, and coffee cakes.

Kevin’s prepared healthy fresh soups and seasonal salads at lunch time keep the locals and visitors coming back for more. You will find an array of creative specialty sandwiches all served on locally baked breads and rolls. Daily specials include New England crab cakes, Ponzu grilled salmon, arepas, sausage and peppers, twice baked potatoes, and steaks.
