Olive Oyl’s Carry Out Cuisine was established in 1991 and is located in the heart of Essex village, voted “BEST SMALL TOWN IN AMERICA” a quintessential town on the Connecticut shoreline.

Just a short walk away from the picturesque Connecticut river and the entrance to Long Island sound, Chef/Owners Kevin and Jennifer Kendall have shared their passion for great tasting seasonal ingredients for over 30 years.

You will find Jennifer’s daily made signature baked goods and hot fresh Illy Coffee for the early morning crowds. Her specialties are muffins, cookies, brownies, scones, and cakes.

Kevin’s prepared healthy fresh soups and seasonal salads at lunch time keep the locals and visitors coming back for more. You will find an array of creative specialty sandwiches all served on locally baked breads and rolls.

The staff at Olive Oyl’s are always busy preparing delectable meals to go. Restaurant-style entrees and side dishes that will keep your friends and family happy. Chicken pot pie, individual meat loafs, kicked up Cajun shrimp, Burgundy braised short ribs and Applewood Baby back ribs are just a few of their offerings.
